Bryan Williams
Visual Media

Although I have enjoyed nearly all of my college courses, there are a handful that changed my life significantly. Visual Media was one of those courses.

Visual Media introduced me to basic design principles, through pracitical application.

The course taught the basics of the entire Adobe Creative Suite. I have, since then, used these programs on a near daily bases and have discovered even more how powerful they can be.

Description: Using a personal photo, desaturate and then re-colorize any portion of the image.

Programs: Adobe Photoshop

Completed: February 23, 2006

Course: Visual Media

Objective: Become familiar with photoshop tools.

Comments: One of the most important things I learned about Photoshop during this course, was using layer masks to blend photos together. In this case, I used a mask to blend a color photo with a copy of its black and white version.
